Behind the Scenes

Theatrical productions require many people working behind the scenes. Some of the things that happen to make a theatre show come to life include design and implementation of lights, sound, projections, props, set and costumes. There are also people working in makeup application, stage management, choreography, music directing and directing.
From programming a light board, to building a set, students can find opportunities in this studio to be creative and learn skills in a wide range of theatrically-based artistic mediums, and apply those skills to real life productions in action! If your young person is interested in theatre but does not want to be on stage, or loves acting but hasn’t had the chance to work behind the scenes, these classes are an excellent chance to work behind the scenes with theatrical professionals.

4:30-5:15pm Class TIme
Snack n’ Chat
5:15 - 5:30 PM - An opportunity for students to have a snack, meet new friends, and do a mini-activity focused on values such as leadership, collaboration, engagement, and compassion. This is required for all students in both sessions.
5:30-6:15pm Class TIme
Family and friends join us as classes share a short selection from their work together in the Studios!

Minimum enrollment for each class is 4 students. If the minimum requirement is not met, the class is cancelled and those students are requested to select an alternative.
Fall Registration opens June 1, 2019
Space is limited and registrations are taken on a first come, first served basis. No registration is complete without payment in full.

After completing your registration form you will be directed to pay online or pay by check. If you choose the pay by check option, late payments will be subject to fees as detailed in our Payment Policy. PAA has recently added new Payment Option Plans to help you with your family budget. Read more about the available Payment Options. You will select your payment option after you register for a camp or class.
