Over the course of 75 minutes we will break down 2 different monologues,1 comedy, 1 dramatic. Every student will work on a piece of each monologue to create and perform a living breathing piece. We will examine the moments that happen before the piece, who we are are talking to, and the use of different tactics for a successful performance. hen during the question and answer session we can visit anything around monologues or general acting/performance questions.
A monologue audition is required for A Chorus Line this summer. Here is a chance to to learn the technique to guide your preparation!

Director/Teacher: Robert Michael Sanders
Robert has worked successfully in the entertainment industry for over 25 years, and has been successful in all areas of live and on camera performance. He began a career in 1989 touring as a musician, singer and songwriter traveling the country and overseas and putting out 5 CD’s. Additional music credits include writing music for TV shows Miami Ink, American Woman TV and more. He has also been named to the Grammy list multiple times as both, a musician and a producer.
Robert then returned to Denver in 2001 and began working in Film and TV, as well as a being a Voice over artist and talent agent. He performed in countless commercials, as well as being a regular on animal planet and others. He has taught on camera skills to groups as diverse as kids to CEO’s of fortune 500 companies.
Robert has also been fortunate enough to have worked in Denver theatre for the last 16 years. He has performed and directed at most all of Denver’s Premier Theaters. He is a full time instructor and director of youth theatre at Town Hall Arts Center, The Aurora Fox and others. He has won several awards for acting and directing. Some of his favorite acting / directing credits include; Memphis, Murder Ballad, Forever Plaid, Tell Me on a Sunday, Getting Out, The Love List, Man Of LaMancha, Skin of Our Teeth , I Love You You’re Perfect Now Change, Ragtime, The Wizard Oz, The Wedding Singer, The Full Monty, Memphis, A Christmas Carol, Almost Maine.
