NEW this fall! We’ve extended our semester from a 10 week semester to a full 16 week semester, in order to more closely align with school calendars. This means MORE time to dance! MORE time to sing! MORE time to learn.
Also new this Fall, PAA is introducing Performance Classes, in lieu of large scale musical theatre productions. Our performance classes this Fall will also follow the new 16 week semester schedule and will work in small casts of about 9 students. Small cast sizes mean students will get MORE one-on-one instruction, MORE role opportunities, and MORE time to learn and grow.
PAA Performance Classes will meet twice a week for 60 – 90 minutes in groups of 9 or 10. Working with these smaller groups allows us to:
- Meet gathering restrictions as dictated by the state
- Extend more individualized instruction from our professional teaching artists
- Provide more role opportunities for each student
- Maintain adequate social distancing during rehearsals and performances.
In order to focus on the student experience, and in keeping with safety and hygiene practices as we continue to combat Covid-19, each cast will have a performance (live-streamed, recorded, or with a small audience depending on the show and gathering restrictions at the time), and will include minimal tech, sets, costumes and props. We are excited for the opportunities this new format will allow us in regards to student learning and engagement.
Class capacities are extremely limited (only 9 students for in-person classes, and 27 students in performance classes). CLASSES WILL FILL UP so don’t wait, register now!
Registration is now open and financial aid is available for those who need it (financial aid application deadline is July 31st). You can find the full class schedule and register on our website: http://paacolorado.org/fall-semester
