Shows tomorrow…already?!?

I don’t know about you but this two weeks has simply flown by!  I know I saw a lot of some of you and I know I saw you working hard and it seems like the first day was yesterday and today you were in costume running your shows.  Amazing!

First, if you aren’t a student of our Intensive I this summer, you should make sure to see the shows.  Tomorrow night and Friday night at 6pm.  It is $10 per adult and $5 per student at the door.  Don’t miss it!

Second, if you are in one of the shows, I am so proud of you.  You have accomplished so much in 10 short days.  You need to know that even though it may sometimes seem like all you hear are corrections, we are all proud of you.  Your teachers are excited about these shows and we all know you will create magical moments on stage both tomorrow and Friday.

This Intensive experience is so unique.  It stretches and pushes all of us to what feels like the limit of what we can do.  We end up on the edge of greatness and when we arrive we are tired, sweaty and sometimes unsure that we have any ability at all.  And then final dress rehearsals arrive and we discover that greatness was always in us.  We learn that we have more potential than we ever dared to dream.  We can see that through the sweat and tears we have forged friendships that will last a lifetime and created art we can be proud of.  We have dared to dream great things and we have accomplished them.

So, no matter how you are feeling now, rest easy knowing that with rest comes clarity.  Know that tomorrow when you step out onto that stage again, you will be doing it with people who care about you and believe in you.  And know that whether you can see it or not, you are entering greatness.
