The Art of Dance

Dance

A guest post by Tracey Zimmerman.

DanceI can’t imagine my life without the art of dance. My dance training began at the age of two, and I have been fortunate enough to still have it be such a huge influence on my life both professionally and personally. I have trained with some amazing teachers and mentors who have given me the knowledge and passion for this wonderful art form.

I am so excited that we are doing a blog this year, and that I am able to share some inspiration with the students and parents of St. Lukes Performing Arts Academy. Some of the strongest characteristics that a dancer possesses is discipline and dedication. These traits can carry over from the classroom into both teaching and performing and will help you continue to strive in the future. Your training and hard work both on and off the stage will help prepare you for pretty much anything and this will never change. Dance can bring you a sense of happiness and accomplishment, and we are so extremely fortunate to be given this opportunity to continue our education and share what we love with others.

Always remember, Do What You Love, because this is what will bring you true happiness.
