Emerging orchestral and vocal talents from Colorado will unite for a unique performance. This collaborative event involves the participation of the Performing Arts Academy and the Central City Opera Performing Artists in a Festival Chorus. The repertoire is set to encompass cherished pieces from the worlds of orchestra, opera, and Broadway.
The PAA Festival Chorus has limited spots available. Students will join 16-20 professional singers from Central City Opera (CCO) and be accompanied by the Denver Young Artists Orchestra (DYAO) which features top orchestral players from across the state.

- Each Festival Chorus participant will receive 1 complementary ticket to the performance!
Music is provided and handed out during rehearsal. Repertoire includes famous and well known songs such as the Habanera from the opera Carmen, Va Pensiero from the opera Nabucco, Humming Chorus from the opera Madame Butterfly, Maidens Chorus from Prince Igor, Make Our Garden Grow from operetta Candide, and selections from the very popular musical Les Miserables. The entire program comprises of orchestra, chorus, and solo repertoire. Choral “part tapes” can be made available.
The PAA Festival Chorus is conducted by Dr. James Ramsey, Executive Director for the Performing Arts Academy and Wilbur Lin, Assistant Conductor for the Colorado Symphony Orchestra & Music Director for DYAO.
