Singing for the Stage

This class focuses on acting through song and students find clues provided in the music and lyrics of a song to interpret material. In addition to the foundations of vocal technique, students will incorporate acting methods and turn interpretation into an authentic, meaningful and vital performance. Singing for the Stage can cover a wide range of musical theatre repertoire ranging from classic musicals of the 30’s and 40’s through to contemporary musical theatre.
