How PAA Classes Grow With Your Student

A PAA class goes beyond sharpening your theatre skills.
PAA views each theatre class as an evolving journey that builds confidence, creates community, and inspires excellence within each student.
Through acting, singing, dancing, and technical theatre classes, PAA students discover their voice, learn to respect others, solve problems, think creatively, and work as a team.
PAA features a unique class structure that develops artists, creators, performers, collaborators, and confident young people into the individuals they were meant to be.
“During my PAA class, I learned that if I try hard, I can do anything and that I don’t have to be nervous.” – PAA Student
“My PAA class taught me that I can go beyond what I know is possible.” – PAA Student
Learning theatre techniques is important, but so is meeting students where they are in their evolving journey.
For example, a student may be advanced in creativity, intermediate in technical skills, and a beginner in confidence. A class structure based solely on beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels may not meet that student’s unique needs.
That’s why PAA developed 4 pathways of classes. Each pathway is based on the level of engagement your student wants from a particular theatre class.
The four pathways included Explore, Build, Refine, and Thrive. See below for an overview of each pathway.
EXPLORE: Try it. Imagine it. Love it.

REFINE: “Improve it. Strengthen it.”

THRIVE: “Own it. Express it. Grow it”

- Collaboration, leadership, and artistry emerge
Goal: Ownership and artistry.
PAA pours into each student, helping them reach their full potential beyond the stage by encouraging kids and teens to fail forward and take creative risks in a supportive environment.
“In my PAA class, I learned that little mistakes are just a chance for me to [grow].”
Our class pathways do just that. Students learn from their mistakes, listen with empathy, express themselves, appreciate different perspectives, develop leadership skills, communicate effectively, and imagine possibilities.
