Event: Audition Workshop for students in grades 3–6 who are enrolled in PAA summer programs.
Give your young performer the tools they need to succeed at PAA summer auditions! This high-energy, supportive workshop is designed specifically for students in grades 3–6 who are enrolled in PAA summer programs.
Over the course of the two-hour workshop, each student will go through a mock PAA audition in order to feel prepared and confident when it’s time to step into the audition room!
Students will practice all three core audition components—singing, acting, and dancing—in a structured, encouraging environment led by PAA directors.
Each participant will work through a mock audition experience, receiving personalized feedback and practical tips they can immediately apply.
In this workshop, students will:
- Perform the audition material they have prepared for their summer PAA audition – songs and monologues. They will practice doing the audition as if it were audition day!
- Learn and perform a short dance audition sequence and receive feedback from one of our resident choreographers! NOTE: This will not be the same dance sequence they will do on the actual audition day.
Whether it’s a student’s first audition or they’re looking to take their skills to the next level, this workshop provides a safe, positive space to grow, take risks, and have fun.
