The “Why” Behind the PAA Stars in Arts Gala
Galas and theatre are the perfect pairing for a Saturday evening!!
Which is why you don’t want to miss Performing Arts Academy’s (PAA) Stars in Arts Gala featuring live performances by PAA students, themed cocktails, fine dining, dancing, live and silent auctions, and an opportunity to positively impact future generations.
The Gala is a fundraiser that benefits PAA, a non-profit organization that provides performing arts education for students ages 3 -18.
Participation in the Gala equals direct support of PAA’s vision. “To bring the performing arts to as many students as possible,” shares Dr. James Ramsey (PAA Executive Director & Founder of PAA).
Dr. Jim’s vision has made the performing arts accessible to over 13,000 students (since 2006) and sparked positive transformation among students.
PAA Students experience transformation, such as discovering self-worth, forging new friendships, and reaching new levels of excellence.
But it’s not the singing, acting, and dancing that transform these students – – it is PAA’s passion-filled mission of building character, creating community, and inspiring excellence that prepares them for the stage of life.
Achieving this mission requires more than a good script and a polished pirouette – – it takes an ensemble of community members and organizations that are passionate about shining the spotlight on the next generation.
Support as simple as attending PAA’s annual Stars in Arts Gala has a profound impact on these students.
Donations from Stars in Arts Gala typically raise $150,000 to $175,000 and fund about 10%-12% of PAA’s operating costs, including:
-Hiring dedicated staff members
-Securing expert teaching artists
-Venue rentals
